Conference Theme & Purpose

There are two striking facts about contemporary India:

  • despite being one of the fastest growing economy, India still ranks 135/187 on HDI (Human Development Index) – and has humongous problems to tackle before it can really become a “developed nation” …and

  • India is a country of youths: 27% of the population is between the 20-35yrs range and 18% make up the 25-35yr segment.

The hope and future lies in the 2nd fact. While many young people continue to look for a secure job as a career, there is an increasing number amongst them who look at the “problems” as a challenge to be addressed - and as an opportunity to make a difference. During last few years, many of them have chosen to follow their passion, and have created ventures to address the social issues which concern them. They represent the emerging segment of The Young Architects of the New India.

Correspondingly, this year, the conference is designed to celebrate and showcase some of these

The conference aims to provide a common platform to the young social entrepreneurs and sector professionals to share their stories, challenges and innovations - and to learn from each other and co-create new solutions and partnerships.
